An Artist Between Past and Present
Rebekka's commitment to fully embrace her artistic journey was ignited by the discovery of an old spray case from the 1920s, once belonging to her great-uncle. This heirloom from her grandmother Helene profoundly impacted her, inspiring her to create art that intertwines the past with the present. A dedicated collector of vintage photographs and advertisements, Rebekka reinterprets these treasures, drawing rich inspiration for her work.
On her canvases, she crafts portraits in gentle shades of sepia and gray that evoke the essence of bygone eras. Her art features both iconic women and everyday faces, capturing their timeless beauty. These striking images not only recall the allure of vintage photography but also breathe new life into it through her unique vision.

Her art is a fascinating blend of abstract and figurative elements, enriched by realistic details. Her critical eye on today’s society, on contemporary vices and virtues, as well as the social implications of modernity, is an integral part of her work, alongside reflections on South Tyrolean tradition. Her pieces show a special attention to the environment, biodiversity, and the artificial and natural habitats of human life.
In addition to her spray-painting art, Rebekka also creates abstract works inspired by the nature of her homeland. She uses high-quality colors, pigments, and natural materials, which give her compositions a unique touch and reinterpret the relationship between man and nature.
Her canvases, made from fine linen or natural cotton, provide a characteristic texture that enhances the impression of depth and history. The resulting “vintage effect,” combined with the natural play of light on the canvas, makes the images come alive — as if they float between past and present.
